Description
Azo Orange, modern, transparent and orange!
In masstone (straight out of the tube) it is a luminous orange-red and like most the Langridge paints, it is high chroma. To my eye in this light, it hovers right on the border of red and orange on the colour wheel.
It is very transparent and paints slightly longer than a lot of the Langridge paints.
A strong tinter (not as strong as a Cadmium, so easier to control) with the tints being pinkish apricot colours. I didn't quite get the orange tints shown on the drawdown opposite and found them to be more pinkish. If it existed...almost like a transparent cadmium red light.
Excellent to stupendous lightfastness...modern, clean and high chroma.
This is one I will definitely be using on my palette in order to see more of it's potential which I believe as a clean, transparent orange it has a lot of!
