Description

Been waiting a while for a high quality paint using this pigment.

I have used it previously, however, not with the high pigment load present in this version - I first became aware of it when Nicholas Uribe used it as the yellow on his limited palette (an image of his work is above).

If you want to stay away from Cadmiums and need a good, strong, opaque yellow, I recommend this.

Slightly on the cool side but easy to push warmer in mixes, great luminosity.

In masstone it is just off mid-temperature yellow.

The handling is great, like soft butter and paints out 'long', smooth and silky. None of the sticky thickness you can sometimes get with Cadmium paints.

The paint has good tint power and it is totally opaque. When titanium white is added it brings out more of the cool nature, and provides a range of tints leading to crisp lemon yellows.
