Description
The name caput mortuum comes from Latin and means 'dead head' or 'worthless remains' which regarding this colour is pretty harsh in my opinion!
The paint is densely saturated and synthetic earth based.
Very opaque, obviously it will be useful in portraiture.
In masstone, it is a rich cool, red purple. Once tinted with white, light, cool mauve colours appear, reminds me of a synthetic, opaque purple ochre.
