Description
Genuine carmine ground with natural indigo in single estate cold pressed linseed oil produces, Carmine Purple. Yet another utterly unique paint.
In masstone, it is a very dark hue almost black and spread thinly its opaqueness hides the true colour. Only when white is added is the intensity and vibrancy revealed.
Adding white produces some of the best purple tints I have seen they have a real depth and are completely different to a industrially produced chemical pigment. You can get a wide range of tints, as it stands up well in mixes and being of such a dark tonal value in the first place, really you have the whole gamut of purples.
The indigo is hand cultivated in India, and the carmine is traditionally produced in Peru.
