Description
Genuine carmine red with the addition of a red ochre from Provence, creates this beautiful red not entirely disimilar to Cinnabar in hue.
A completely natural paint.
In masstone it is a lively coolish red, once spread out with a palette knife more colour is unleashed and the transparency of the carmine comes through. Once this almost brick red is tinted with white it produces lilac, pinkish tints. The carmine element cools the warmth of the red earth and it has a nice balance.
Its tint power is low to medium.
