Description
Classic willow charcoal, soft velvety marks, non oily...the difference here is the sticks, they are huge! Roughly 20-25mm in diameter.
I used this for life drawing and it has the same advantages of using the biggest brush you can when painting, you are forced away from the detail instead having to focus on the larger shapes and gestures. It helped me a lot and after a while you find you can produce small, defined marks where necessary.
It is hand coppiced from sustainable woodland in North Yorkshire, England.
