Description

Slightly magnetic, apparently, as all cobalt pigments are!

Cobalt green is sometimes known as Rinman's green or Zinc Green is a semi-transparent blue-green, soft in appearance. Deep in the name means leaning more towards blue than yellow.

I love the Cobalts, there is synergy between the various hues and a delicacy reminiscent of using earth pigments.

In masstone a dark green, spread thinly with a palette knife, the transparency becomes obvious. Once white is added it produces very delicate greenish, grey tints, it is a gentle tinter so mixes need to be created with care not to overwhelm it.

It reminds me of a slightly cooler Terre Verte but with a little more punch in tinting power.
