Description
This is surprisingly different from the other Rublev Cyprus burnt umber it is much warmer and more in line with a 'traditional' burnt umber hue with rich reddish undertones and semi-transparent in opacity. Creamy, warm, brown tints.
It's high pigment load and lack of fillers or extenders means it has real depth to it's hues and a high chroma. It has good tinting strength and paints 'long' (meaning it isn't buttery, leaner in body).
Of great use to portrait painters and present throughout the majority of painting history.
A very good, solid mid-range umber with a depth of hue you won't find in cheaper versions.
