Description
This is quite dark in masstone, a brown with a greenish tinge, in some lights almost like a dark olive green, it is quite different from an Italian sienna, being much cooler and presenting much gentler traces of yellow.
It shows a yellow earth hue when used thinly, however the paint as a whole is cool for an earth. It's tints display fairly neutral greys. It has good tinting strength.
The pigment comes from the last remaining European company mining the ochre deposits in the heart of the Luberon Mountains.
