Description
Lapis Lazuli 'Giotto' oil paint from Wallace Seymour is probably the lightest and greyest of the three shades we offer.
Under the palette knife it feels like it has the most 'body' of the three and again has the slight grittiness of pigment (keeping the pigment size slightly larger offers the maximum colour). In hue it is the blue of the Renaissance and is instantly recognizable as such.
Soft, earthy blue.
Slightly transparent in nature. In tints with white it makes a wide range of soft blues.
Trying to choose between these three shades of Lapis will not be easy, they are all superb and each has its own unique quality. To be honest I have spent a long time adjusting the swatch picture to try and capture the true colour of the paint, and although this is near it just doesn't quite get it!
