Description
In masstone this mid-value earth is possibly better described as a dark yellow ochre, exhibiting very similar characteristics to that hue. When used thinly it shows the classic luminous, rich, transparent yellows.
Quite a cool yellow/beige tints when white is added, in fact this paint feels generally quite cool for a brown/yellow earth paint.
The pigment is sourced from a quarry in Northern Italy, natural ochres like this have been used for centuries and benefit from being absolutely permanent and stable.
