Description
Probably the most popular black.
An impure amorphous Carbon held in Calcium Phosphate. Ivory Black is no longer made from burning ivory scraps but from charred animal bones.
It is denser in shade and warmer than Lamp Black, however its semi-transparent nature makes it weaker in mixes and slightly slippier in handling. The darkest Michael Harding black.
