Description
Jaune de Hansa or Hansa Yellow or Arylide Yellow! This pigment goes by many different names, and to confuse things further, not all are the same. It is made with PY74 which is a superior, more lightfast pigment than, say, the one used in Permanent Yellow.
In masstone it is a mid tonal value and a gently warm temperature yellow. Once tinted with Titanium white it produces a wide range of gentle yellows, any warm edge is taken off by the Titanium so the tints are considerably cooler than the masstone.
Francois knows his paint and this is beautifully ground in French Linseed and Walnut oil giving the most perfect handling qualities.
