Description
This version of Lead Tin Yellow, as the name suggests, leans well towards the green side of yellow on the colour wheel, although it is not quite as sulphurous as a Naples Yellow Light. It has more chroma than the Lead Tin Yellow Light made by Michael while still being very high in value
It has a remarkable ability to reflect light and has a real luminosity when viewed as a 'dry' swatch. It has a middling tint power and creates a gentle range of cool, yellow tints.
It could certainly be used to lift the tonal value of mixes without needing to use white, however on the portrait palette is where it will really excel.
A unique colour with great luminosity and a real place in painting history.
