Description
A slightly cool yellow. A refreshing change from the intense heat of Cadmium yellows. Light in value, it is a single pigment paint and has decent tinting power.
In masstone, straight out of the tube, it reminds me of a middle Naples yellow with that slightly acidic edge, but still overwhelmingly a yellow, a variation on lemon yellow. Very slightly muted in hue.
When white is added, the range of tints is good, albeit slightly limited by the fact of it's inherent high value.
The pigment is Nickel Titanate, which has excellent lightfastness.
A great value cool yellow for the palette, would be good in opposition to a warm Cadmium yellow.
