Description
Punchy and bright - this is Orange Benzimidazolone - an unusual single pigment paint.
In masstone it reminds me of a cadmium orange deep, just hovering at the threshold between orange and red with a powerful full chroma.
Once white is added, it behaves quite similar to the cadmium as well.
The orange in the tints drfting away as more white is added, eventually resulting in gentle warm pink hues which scream sunsets.
To be quite frank, this is an excellent replacement for cadmium orange deep, half the price and less toxic. It slightly lacks the full bore opaqueness but other than that, it is really excellent.
