Description
Made from a unique natural earth, this is a delicious warmish grey.
To my eye, much better than any grey mixed out of a black and Titanium white, it has that earthy depth and a slightly shifting hue quality - a chromatic grey.
In masstone it is slightly darker than a mid-grey in value (lighter in value than the swatch opposite suggests) and has a warmish edge, there is no green in it which you would expect from slate.
Good tinter - meaning a wide range of grey tints once white is added, although Titanium white soon starts to cool its warm edge when added.
Triple milled in cold pressed linseed oil.
