Description
Beloved by bees, the scent can induce sleep and distilled as spike oil it makes an excellent paint medium. This paint is named after the Lavender plant.
The paint is a blend of titanium white, ultramarine blue and ultramarine violet. I think it would have been interesting not to add the titanium white to the blend and have a highly transparent, intense violet blue, however the white brings out that soft Lavender hue of which the paint is named.
In masstone the hue is a light violet, almost slightly muted. When white is added it holds up well and the tints are gentle violets almost approaching violet grey when carrying lots of white. Relatively high chroma.
