Description
Peach Black is made from calcined (heated) peach stones. Very unusual and only available from Wallace Seymour.
A simple carbon black, many fruit stones can be heated to produce a black pigment from cherry to almond, the colour varies according to the stone used and the amount of heat applied.
In masstone a very deep, soft black, and once dry it is very reminiscent of the soft surface appearance of charcoal.
The paint is long and loose in handling - not buttery.
The tints are quite neutral grays, I was expecting it to have a brownish edge but really it is neither cool or warm. Excellent for the historically accurate palette.
