Used in mixes and as ground tone since the beginnings of mixing pigments with oil, this is one of the indispensable Earth Iron Oxides, and apart from Terre Verte and Lapis, the only naturally occurring pigment Michael Harding still sources for his paints.
As the name suggests, some of the best grades come from central Italy, where this supply comes from.
