Description
This paint is an inspired combination of Spirulina Blue and Stil de Grain. Spirulina is derived from algae and Stil de Grain derived from buckthorn berries both produced sustainably by hand.
In masstone it is a dark green, once spread thinly it displays its transparent nature and wonderful yellow greens appear when light is allowed to bounce off the white ground and back up through the pigments.
It is the warmest green in this range and has great potential given its large range of appearances depending on how it is used, from deep mossy green to vibrant yellow green glazes to muted green grays once white is added, there are many opportunities with this paint.
Again, it harmonises superbly with the other greens in the range Vert Gamboge, Maya Green and Kendal Green.
Pictured are the Spirulina and Buckthorn berries, both found in the wild.
