Description
Handmade by Francois Schaal, in France, with French oil and pigment.
French raw sienna, darker and lower chroma than the Italian version.
Made from a pigment sourced from the Societe de Ocres de France, which as I am rapidly learning has some of the best earth pigments in the world, a truly inspired producer of these ancient, iron oxide pigments.
In masstone a middle, warm, brown somewhat neutral, it is also pretty opaque. When tinted with white it has reasonable power and doesn't disappear and provides warm greys with an almost yellowish edge.
