Description
The pigment used in this paint is made from vine charcoal produced from the vineyard of Sesti Castello di Argiano in Southern Tuscany (shown in the photo above). The vines were cut on the waning moon, to retain maximum colour within the plant structure.
A deep rich black, it paints quite long in comparison to the other colours.
I was expecting a brownish black with not much tinting strength however I found this paint to be completely the opposite!
It provides a wide range of cool grey tints when white is added, and certainly has the tint power to stand up well in mixes.
Unique, sustainable and ethical.
