Description
A synthetic iron oxide which basically is a deeper, slightly warmer hue of the classic yellow ochre, it brings with it an amplification of those qualities found in its cousin.
Dense, with warm undertones, perfect for flesh tints when warmed with red.
Buttery and richer than most 'earths'. Much stronger in tints with white than natural yellow ochre.
Michael Harding - "It's strange for me as a colour maker, sometimes I become very proud of my exotic historic colours such as Vermilion, however I cannot be more proud of this rich earth colour."
