Description

I am more excited about these new reclaimed paints from Wallace Seymour, than any others previously! These are utterly unique and have exceptional hue.

The pigments are made from reclaimed ochres originating as a byproduct of the Northern coalmining industry. Having been cleaned, graded and refined to extremely high standards they have a colour purity really not found in any other earth pigment, while still being of the earth!

This ochre is sourced from Northumberland in the UK, a wild and vast place.

In masstone it is a rusty yellow orange colour, like a supercharged yellow ochre! In handling it has a fair bit of 'body' and is milled super smooth.

Due to its high chroma and tinting power it provides many tints...all glowing, yellows, earthy oranges and bieges. If you want an earth pigment with 'punch' look no further.

All the tints have a great warmth and no flatness sometimes found in inferior yellow ochres.
